A Resounding Success
Dr Simon Aulton CEO of Community Action Dacorum welcomed guests to the VCFSE conference 2025. Jointly organised by Community Action Dacorum and Dacorum Borough Council, the recent VCFSE Conference held on 26th February was a fantastic event, bringing together VCFSE and public sector organisations to collaborate, share ideas, and explore new opportunities. Attendees enjoyed an engaging day filled with insightful workshops, inspiring guest speakers, and valuable discussions on strengthening collaboration between the sectors.

Inspiring Keynote Speakers – Melissa Green CEO of National Federation of Women’s institute and Cllr Richard Roberts, Leader of Hertfordshire Council, were our keynote speakers. We also heard from Darren Welsh, Interim Chief Executive of Dacorum Borough Council, and Simy Dhyani Deputy Leader and Portfolio Holder for Housing and Property Services, about local priorities and working in partnership with the voluntary sector. Chris Fennell, Head of Communities and Leisure and Diana Houghton, Head of Arts and Culture gave presentations on Dacorum’s Sports and Leisure Strategy and Arts and Culture Strategy.
