Community Action Dacorum has many services to improve the quality of life for individuals in Dacorum and surrounding areas.  Whether you want to experience the joy of volunteering, want to join a local club to get involved in the community, need support with your mobility or want help with your employability this section of the website is all about improving your life chances.

We also have services that are designed to help with your mobility and wellbeing, these include:

• Wheelchair and Scooter hire for either permanent or temporary mobility problems through Shopmobility
• Hire of a wheelchair accessible vehicle for health or social appointments
• Community Cars social car scheme run by volunteers to take you to health and social appointments

Looking for help to stay connected to family, friends and services through IT? Then our Staying Connected service could help you

At Community Action Dacorum we have been coordinating an approach to the cost of living in the Borough and organise pop-up events to provide support to residents.

Looking for help to go shopping and an opportunity to meet and socialise with others? Then have a look at our Door2Store service. We will pick you up from your home and take you to a local supermarket using an accessible minibus and friendly volunteers.

Social Prescribing is connecting people to activities, groups and support that improve health and wellbeing.
