Our Community Engagement services are delivered to support the voluntary sector in the borough. Our aim is to network, create partnerships and help start & develop community groups and charities. We offer volunteer recruitment and management support, networking forums, training & events for our members. Support is provided online or face to face from our offices in the High Street and the Roundhouse Volunteer Centre in the Marlowes.

To become a member of Community Action Dacorum

The membership fee for 2023/24 is £40.00 invoiced annually. Membership also includes access to other CAD services, including minibus hire, payroll services and 25% reduction on advertising on Radio Dacorum.

If you are a sports organisation based in Dacorum you will be eligible for free membership for one year, funded by Herts Sports Partnership – to join please complete and return the sports membership form or email loretta@communityactiondacorum.org.uk for more details. 

DBS Checks

Community Action Dacorum provides this service to all members.  We process DBS checks on your behalf. 

The Disclosure and Barring Service is the name for what was called the Criminal Records Bureau. Many people are familiar with the term CRB, and DBS has now replaced this.
