Community Transport

We provide older or disabled people who have difficulties in using public transport safe, reliable and accessible transport to a local supermarket.

Our aim is to enable you to remain independent in your own home.

This service picks people up from their homes and takes them to local supermarkets and giving them an opportunity to meet and make new friends and a chance to catch up with other shoppers over a drink in the café (dependant on supermarket).

We have volunteers to support shoppers around the store, with their shopping and help bring shopping to their front door.

Door2Store runs fortnightly in the following areas:

  • Kings Langley – Monday morning to Sainsbury’s, Apsley Mills
  • Bovingdon – Monday morning to Sainsbury’s, Aplsey Mills
  • Berkhamsted – Wednesday morning to Waitrose, Berkhamsted
  • Tring – Thursday morning to Tesco, Tring
  • Hemel – Friday morning to Morrison’s, St Albans
