Santa’s Sleigh
In a delightful display of community spirit, our charity was among the many local groups who joined the Hemel Rotary for their festive Santa Sleigh collection evening. This heartwarming event saw us traverse the streets of Hemel Hempstead, Kings Langley, and Abbots Langley with Santa on his sleigh, spreading Christmas cheer and collecting donations.
On the 10th January 2024, at the Hemel Rotary Santa Sleigh presentation evening, the spirit of giving continued. Cindy Withey and Deborah Fogden were proud to represent our charity, collecting cheques on behalf of Connect Dacorum, Radio Dacorum, and The Repair Shed. The funds raised are invaluable, enabling us to keep delivering essential services in Dacorum.
The evening, held at Leverstock Green Cricket Club, was attended by various local charities and The Mayor, Councillor William Allen. Each group received £350, a testament to the generosity witnessed during the Santa Sleigh street collections.
Our heartfelt thanks go to Hemel Rotary for orchestrating such a memorable event and to every individual who donated. These efforts not only brought festive joy to our streets but also reinforced the strong sense of community that thrives in our area.
