Tesco, putting the ACTION in Dacorum
We are delighted to share that Tesco Hemel Hempstead has generously donated £200 to our Roundhouse Community Hub in Marlowes, Hemel Hempstead.
This significant contribution was raised through Tesco’s Community Library whose support goes toward the vital role of Community Action Dacorum in assisting various community groups and coordinating volunteers.
During the visit to The Roundhouse Community Hub that accompanied this donation, the “Knit and Natter group” was present, showcasing the vibrant community activities facilitated at the location.
The Roundhouse Community Hub is an important facility in Hemel Hempstead utilised by Community Action Dacorum to support members, including Dacorum Mencap, among many others, by providing a safe and welcoming space for social interaction.
Furthermore, our Shopmobility service is located just next door, within The Marlowes Shopping Centre, offering mobility equipment hire to help individuals with disabilities or limited mobility access community spaces and reduce feelings of isolation.
The Roundhouse Community Hub would like to take this opportunity to thank Tricia Glenister, who runs the community team at Tesco Jarman Park, Hemel, and thank Tesco themselves for setting up this department, which for many years has been making a positive difference to the lives of people in the area.
This generous donation allows us to continue making a positive difference to the lives of people in our community, fostering stronger social and community networks in Dacorum.
