Appoints Two New Directors to Strengthen Governance and Growth
Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire – Herts Interpreting & Translation Service (HITS), one of the UK’s leading independent providers of language support services, is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Trevor Fernandes and Councillor Graeme Elliot as Directors following its Annual General Meeting held on the 4th December 2025.

With over 330 languages and dialects available, including British Sign Language, and a 24/7 on-demand service, HITS ensures that language is never a barrier to accessing essential services. The newly appointed Directors bring exceptional experience and leadership:
- Dr Trevor Fernandes – A respected GP and Medical Examiner with over 30 years in healthcare, Dr Fernandes has served as a GP trainer and board member for the Herts and West Essex Integrated Care System. His deep understanding of patient care and health service delivery will strengthen HITS’ partnerships with NHS organisations.
- Councillor Graeme Elliot – A long-standing member of Dacorum Borough Council and Vice-Chair of Finance and Resources Overview and Scrutiny, Graeme brings governance expertise and a strong commitment to community development.
