We are over the moon to reveal that £8,462.09 has been raised through our 2025 partnership with Dacorum-based Tring Brewery.

As our 2025 fundraising partnership with Tring Brewery closes, everyone at The Repair Shed wants to extend a heartfelt “thank you” to the brewery team and their incredible community. We are absolutely over the moon to reveal that this collaboration raised a staggering £8,462.09 for our charity.

What is truly remarkable is that this significant sum was achieved through a handful of highly effective efforts rather than a constant stream of events. While the brewery kept our mission in the public eye by releasing twelve “Shed-themed” monthly special beers—ranging from Shedders’ Pale to the festive Ho-Ho-Hoe—the bulk of the fundraising came from a few concentrated drives.

The standout success was the annual ToadFest beer festival, which alone raised a whopping £4,363.07. This single day of live music and community spirit accounted for over half of the total raised for the year. Other key contributors included two successful members’ weekends, an ambitious online raffle featuring prizes like “Beer for a Year,” and the sale of unique wooden bottle carriers handmade by our very own Shedders.

These funds are vital to our work at Community Action Dacorum. The Repair Shed provides a space for older men to combat social isolation through making, mending, and learning. Whether it is crafting hedgehog houses or repairing a 40-year-old musical box, the “elbow grease ethos” shared by the brewery and the Shedders has created a lasting impact on local wellbeing.

Although the formal partnership year has ended, the brewery remains a “proud champion” of our cause. To everyone who attended an event or enjoyed a pint in our name: this achievement is yours. Cheers to a year of beer that has truly changed lives.
