BAGS OF KINDNESS: Nearly 300 Deliveries SO FAR! Huge Thank You to Our Volunteer Drivers

November 27, 2025

Community Action Dacorum is delighted to announce that our Community Transport service is nearly at its 300th delivery of BAGS OF KINDNESS this Christmas season.

This project aligns perfectly with our focus on Wellbeing services, which aim to help residents stay independent, reduce social isolation, and connect with others.

Lynne Misner, Small Acts of Kindness CEO and Founder comments: “We are hugely proud of our Bags of Kindness, a project in partnership with, and funded by Hertfordshire County Council. Each bag contains items including a fleece blanket, gripper socks, a room thermometer, soup, biscuits, chocolates, activity books, pens and an information pack full of literature signposting to support and advice. They are distributed through a network of community organisations, like Community Action Dacorum, reaching vulnerable residents across the county. A huge thank you from the teams at Hertfordshire County Council and Small Acts of Kindness to everyone at Community Action Dacorum for their time to help reach those in need of support, making a real difference and connecting communities with kindness”.

This tremendous effort wouldn’t be possible without our caring volunteer drivers, who are truly making a difference and helping us reach vulnerable residents across the county. Community Action Dacorum champions the widespread participation of volunteers, whose help and dedication are crucial to providing our range of services.

Dr Simon Aulton, CEO of Community Action Dacorum “The delivery of nearly 300 Bags of Kindness by our Community Transport service is a powerful testament to our core mission: improving the wellbeing and quality of life for vulnerable residents across Dacorum. This project perfectly demonstrates the positive impact achieved when organisations work together. We are immensely grateful for the collaboration with Small Acts of Kindness and Hertfordshire County Council, which allows us to link the public and voluntary sectors for the benefit of the community. Above all, I want to express my deepest gratitude to our dedicated volunteer drivers. They embody the spirit of Community Action Dacorum, ensuring that this essential Wellbeing support reaches those who need it most, helping to reduce social isolation and connecting communities with kindness”

We are proud to partner with Small Acts of Kindness and Hertfordshire County Council on this impactful initiative.
