Project Introduction

 

Technology is fundamentaly changing how we teach and learn, making it more engaging but also demanding. Educatiors are facing increasing challenges to accomodate the rising importance of technology in education and the impact it has on teaching and learning. Digital Pedagogy Cookbook will make digital tools accesible, explaining how to use them in easy way, that resemble a cooking recepie.

The Project

 

The program main focus is on Digital Competences of Educators.European Commission in 2013 realised that teachers like new technologies but don't feel confident useing them.

 

There are 3 main issues.  Educators lack skills and competences to apply digital pedagogy. There is a need for programs for educators to develope those skills, especialy for those who work in non-technological subject areas. Lastly, the lack of of practical knowlege and solutions on implementing digital pedagogy in adult classes.

 

The target group are, obviously, educators involved in adult learning and educators' trainers, but also istitutional managers and those responsible for startegy at regional or consortial level, adult learners and trauners in others educational sectors, specialy for VET.

 

This projet have few objectivs. Mainly to build upon and extend the European Framework for the Digital Competence of Educators (DigiCompEdu). It should  also provide all the theoritical and practical informationneeded by educators in order to understand digital pedagogy, impouve their digital competences, create, evaluate and share their own digital recipes according to the European Digital Competence Framework for Citizens and for Educators. To ensure better understanding of the project  the promotion of the cooking/ recipe metafor for digital pedagogy by providing comprehensive and, above all, a practice driven guide is needed. Another intention is to empower and support  educators to stremghten their performance through the development on an online community where educators can effectevly access, share and create knowledge, as well as streinghten their commitment to the profession.

 

Digital Pedagogy Cookbook is suppose to produce 4 intelectual outputs: Toolkit for Educators, Digital Pedagogy Cookbook, Community of Practice for Digital Pedagogy and Digital Pedagogy in Vet. But also, the project will be effectivly desseminated among others through multiplier events, will have its own corporate identity,will create a contact database and QR-Code, will have evaluation and quality assurance stategy, will be evaluatade internaly as externaly. The impact will be planned and reported. And the conclusion will be followed by new projects ideas.
